Day 105: Rain or No Rain?

I worked today at 6 a.m. for the second day in a row and accidently overslept so I was in a rush to get done. It also looked stormy today but never stormed then this afternoon the power went out because somebody ran into it with their car, I think at least. It has been a fairly relaxing day and work went pretty quickly and was pretty enjoyable because I was working with some awesome people. God has truly blessed me with some great family, friends, coworkers, a great church, a great job and a lifegroup family that cares so much about me. My life is good and I love that I share it with such great people.

Day 104: Fun Times

This is something I enjoy doing in my spare time when I am not busy with work, school or church activities. It is a fun game and always keeps me on my toes. It is a good thing to do in your spare time because it requires you to think a lot and creates ways to do that.

Day 103: Yet Another Rainy Day

As I was sleeping this morning trying to rest up from my cold, it started pouring down raining and there was lots of thunder and lightning as well. It was a nice day to sleep in because it made me sleep really well but it has been nasty weather wise. It has been a lovely day off though. All I have today is school tonight so I have been able to just relax and have a nice day off. Thankfully, I had the day off today so I only have to make one trip out tonight for school in the rainy weather. I am not a big fan of driving in the rain because people just seem to drive even more reckless than usual.

Day 102: Rain, Rain, Go Away Come Again Another Day

Today was a very rainy day. I went out shopping for a little bit and got rained on. It has been a fairly enjoyable day. I stayed home from church so I could rest up from work yesterday. I was working with a cold for 7 hours yesterday and my body was telling me I needed sleep and lots of it so I slept half the day away to try and heal my body up from this cold. Then I also did some homework for my math class as well and bought a few presents for people today as well. It was overall a very enjoyable day off and I feel a bit better than yesterday which is good.

Day 101: Great Day

I just got this bag yesterday at Kohl's on clearance. It is such a cool color. I got lots of cool new stuff there. I got to shop with my mom which was also fun. I also played ultimate frisbee with a group of friends last night and it was a lot of fun. The teams were all really evenly matched so it made for some great games. I had a great day today of just relaxing, I have a little cold which is absolutely no fun and I pray it goes away quickly but I'll live. I hate having a cold it is so annoying. I just pray it goes away quickly because it really makes me feel under the weather today so please pray I get better.

Day 100: Another Day

I have had a great day today. I didn't get scheduled at all at work which was pretty cool to get a Friday off completely. I went to school today and had a fairly easy day, I was there for less than an hour since it was the first day the teacher went easy on us. I have also taken a nap today as I am starting to feel a cold coming on and needed some extra sleep. I also went shopping with my mom and nowhere else than Kohl's today which was fun, I got some cool stuff. Then tonight I am going to play ultimate frisbee with a group of friends tonight and I can't wait, it is always so much fun. I had an awesome time last night playing Whoonu and getting to know some new and old friends even better. There are always such fun times at lifegroup, I love it and the people in it are awesome.

Day 99: Rainy Day

 

After I got off work this morning, I came home to this. Hurricane Irene is sitting off the coast so this is probably some random rain clouds from that. I think the clouds look very cool and of course it would start raining as I am getting out of the car at my house. It has been a good day today. I only got a few hours of sleep before working at 6 a.m. this morning but I'll be able to take a nap. It was an enjoyable day at work where we got a lot of things accomplished. It is nice to feel like you got something done that needed to get done. It is like a job well done until the next job to come along.

Day 98: Puppyyy

She's always my little model. She makes a cute one as well that's for sure. She just sits there waiting for me to take the picture looking at me with the cutest look on her face ever. God truly blessed us with this little creature. She makes our days even better and always gives us the sweetest looks. I couldn't have asked for a better suited dog for our family. During thunderstorms, you can either find her hanging out with my mom in her room or under my bed hiding from the thunder, lightning or rain. She is so cute during storms because she always sidles up to you for you to comfort her and tell her everything's okay. It is so adorable. I truly love this little bundle of fur.

Day 97: Peeking Through the Clouds

For a small part of the day, this is what the sun looked like. It just looks so beautiful doesn't it? This happened right after the rain near my house. It rained so hard probably to do with some of the hurricane weather that is sitting off the coast. I am in a bad place for rain and thunderstorms and this happens to be hurricane season. There is a huge hurricane sitting off the coast and is supposed to come inland eventually not sure exactly where yet but yeah that is what the news says is supposed to happen. I had a nice day at home just relaxing and playing a Nancy Drew computer game that I finished today. It has been a very good day.

Day 96: Back to School

School? Really? Yes really I am back to school for my second math class this year. Please everybody be praying for a great school semester. I am kind of nervoud about it since I have never taken a college lab class and also am taking a math class. I am not a big fan of math so I am relying fully on God to help me through it. Also, today I'm getting my car fixed after my mom accidently hit the mirror on our car. It is supposed to get done today so I'm hoping it gets done before I have to go to school and before my brother has to go to work.

Day 95: Sunny Day

Today, unlike the last couple of days was very sunny. I had a great day at sunday school, church, eating lunch at Taco Bell, worked for 3 hours today and then had a game night with some friends at my house tonight. It just makes me appreciate my friends even more in the times like tonight that I spend just having fun, laughing or whatever. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and hope they did as well. Tomorrow, my goal is to get our car fixed from when my mom accidently ran into the rearview mirror and then have a good day back at school. I have a math class tomorrow and am not a huge fan of math but I know with God on my side nothing is impossible and that is the mindset I am starting this semester off with.

Day 94: FRISBEE!!!!

As you can probably guess, we played some ultimate frisbee tonight and had a blast at it. The teams were so evenly matched and everybody had so much fun. I am so happy with the group of friends God has blessed me with. It is so cool to see so many young people so happy and having fun together it is truly a blessing. I truly love playing ultimate frisbee so it cool to have found so many others who love it just like me. We all played really well tonight and even though it was a smaller group than some weeks, it was such a fun time, thanks to everybody who came out such a fun time. I also worked today and had another pretty enjoyable day, I got put in charge for a short time which was cool and had a great group of people working with me today.

Day 93: Brother's Birthday

Today was my brother's birthday and so we celebrated it today. Believe it or not this guy is 24 years old today such an old guy lol. I worked early this morning, then took him to Chili's for his birthday lunch and then my mom made dinner and we celebrated this evening. I actually took a nap today after getting only a couple of hours of sleep last night so it was nice getting some extra sleep after that. We were unloading a truck today at work and were down about 4 people but we got it done and that's what matters. I had a pretty enjoyable day at work despite the fact it took us four and a half hours to unload the truck. I have had a very nice day and thank God everyday that He brought me into a family with this brother of mine.

Day 92: Choresss

I had the day off today so I decided to do my chores today. My chores are cleaning the bathtubs, vaccuuming and washing/drying the dishes. I have been given these chores by my parents and used to not like doing them very much but I believe that it is up to me to do them in order to be part of the family because we each have our own certain chores to do. I don't mind doing them at all anymore. I have enjoyed my day off of just relaxing and hanging around the house as well as doing my chores.

Day 91: Beauty In My Eyes

This is a pretty tree that is at the entrance to my neighborhood and it just looked so cool this morning on my way to work. I worked today working on the fitting rooms of misses, juniors and mens departments. It was so slow today I even did the stuff behind customer service as well as stuff at the register and even cleaned out the kids fitting rooms which I don't normally do when it's busy. It was kind of nice to have a slow day. I wish it was a little busier because it got kind of boring sometimes but it was very enjoyable. I got a lot done as well so the close tonight if they keep things up well should be an early one. It rained hard on my way home as well so I got poured on when I got out of my car but this day has been a beautiful one despite the rain.

Day 90: Flowerrrr

This is a picture of a cool looking flower that is sitting on our dining room table. I think this picture just makes it look so cool. I absolutely love flowers and today has been a pretty chill day for me. I am working 8 hours tonight and it should be pretty slow which is good for when you have to close at night because it means the department won't be too messy. I love my job at Kohl's.. I truly enjoy working there. With the amount of people looking for jobs I am truly blessed to have a job especially one I enjoy in this economy. God has blessed me in my life and I enjoy living life for God in everything I do.

Day 89: Beautiful Day for a Party

Today is the day we are celebrating my brother's birthday party with a group of friends. It is a very simple celebration but it will be such a fun time with some awesome friends. I absolutely love all the time I spend with my friends. God has truly given me gifts in the form of my friends. It makes me realize exactly how blessed I am in life through these awesome people. Like last night, we simply went to a park threw around a frisbee then it started getting too dark so we came back to my house and played some board games until late into the night. It was a bunch of fun, such a simple time of fun yet it was so memorable. I love being around all my friends, once again I just want to say absolutely how blessed I am with the friends I have in life.

Day 88: Nature

I took this picture at church today and it just looked so cool. I love all the nature around me, it makes me truly appreciate the simple things in life. God has truly made a beautiful creation. I stayed in with the kids in children's church today and we had a great group of kids in there. We usually have about twice as many so it was nice to have a bit smaller of a group it is easier to control that way. It is nice to see such a beautiful world around me.

Day 87: Awesome Dog

This is my cute dog. She always comes right up to me and gives me the cutest looks especially when she wants something. She wanted to be petted so she came up to me with those droopy eyes and just laid there waiting for me to pet her. She truly is the cutest dog ever. The way she barks at strangers is just so funny because she really is not scary or dangerous at all, she is the meaning of all bark and no bite. She makes my family and I laugh all the time from the random things she does. God truly blessed us with this cutie.

Day 86: Spider ewwww

I saw this spider right outside my window. I was doing a photoshoot with my sister the other day and saw it so I decided to use it as my blog picture today. I am definitely not a fan of spiders so when I saw it my automatic thought was ewwww gross. Any bugs in general I am not a big fan of especially spiders and cockroaches two of the most disgusting bugs ever. Most bugs I don't mind that much but spiders and cockroaches are disgusting. This particular spider looked pretty cool from afar but this is as close as I ever want to be to that thing.

Day 85: Beauty Surrounds Us

I took this picture outside of my window. The sky looks so bright and pretty today which is nice after the last couple of days that have been completely rainy. I have had a very relaxing day of doing chores and overall just hanging around the house. I have lifegroup tonight and I can't wait because every time is just so awesome hanging out with all my friends there. It has been a good day and I have gotten a lot accomplished on this beautiful day.

Day 84: Looks Like Rain

It has been raining off and on all day and the sky just looked so cool that I decided to take a picture of it. I worked for five and a half hours and what I was supposed to do today was change signs from the early bird prices and I was supposed to have one other person doing it with me but it turns out I did it all by myself because he couldn't come until later in the day. I got it all done by 1 though which is when they ended so it worked out okay. There weren't too many early birds so I was able to do them all by myself easily. Then I helped with the fitting rooms and we had them all clean when I left so they should have a good night tonight. It was a good day at work.

Day 83: Beach Day

I went to the beach with my sister and a friend today and we had so much fun. It was raining all day today so we only stayed at the beach for about an hour. After that, we went shopping today and I bought a dress and some tennis shoes for frisbee because I have been wearing converse and my feet kind of hurt sometimes so I decided to invest in some actual running shoes. I also bought myself some Starbuck's, it was so yummy. My friend paid for lunch at Moe's for my sister and I and also Chick-Fil-A for dinner. It was an overall great day, God blessed us with some fun times today even though it was raining. It was pretty cool to get to know my friend even better.

Day 82: Lunch YUMMY!

I took my sister to Olive Garden for lunch today just for some sister time as well as her birthday because her birthday was a few days ago. It was a very yummy lunch we got the soup, salad and breadsticks special and it was very yummy. We played ultimate frisbee last night and had a pretty eventful night last night. One of the guys there ended up running into a fence by accident because it was dark and he was focused on getting the frisbee so we ended the night by him getting a broken toe. I felt so bad about it because he was supposed to start football up again soon. I kind of wish it was me in place of him because of the fact college scouts are actually looking at him to play on their teams so even though it wasn't my fault and I definetly don't want a broken toe I still wish it had been me in place of him. Oh well I guess you can't change what happens. God was truly watching over us though because how hard he hit the fence it could have been something so much worse.

Day 81: God's Glory

I have had an incredibly good day today. This morning at church, I felt God's Spirit moving through that building like there was no tomorrow. The message was on God's healing of His people from the Bible mentally, physically and spiritually and a couple in the church just shared some struggles they have been going through and it just touched me in a huge way and I realized how many times Christians try to be perfect and put on masks even when life absolutely stinks. It just struck me so hard and I just felt like why should we feel like we have to put up walls to hide what is really going on in our lives? Is it fear, shame, sadness or any number of different emotions? Then I came to the realization those emotions are coming from no other place then from Satan deceiving us into thinking we somehow have to act and look a certain way because we are Christians and should be that way. The truth is, in life many times we have big huge mountains of downs and instead of hiding them we should be seeking God in them and relying on our brothers and sisters in Christ to help hold us up when we feel like we could just burst or fall at any moment that is what the church family is for after all to create a strong family of believers who are so passionate about God that that is their only focus. So please my family of believers join me in this new idea of living and live your life out right and out loud for God and don't try to be a perfect little Christian because bad news guy that doesn't exist we aren't perfect at all so live life with me for God and encourage each other in trials as well as in happy times and hold each other up. Also, don't cause any of your fellow believers to stumble because that isn't what the body of believers is supposed to be so please instead of breaking each other down stand and decide to live life all out for God and see what major changes God has in store!

Day 80: Another Day

I thought this looked cool. As I was driving home, I was met with this beauty of summer so when I got home I took a picture of it. I love taking pictures of God's nature because it is just such an easy way to find beauty around me and snap a picture of it. Also, it reminds me each and every day how alive God is in my life. I know many people my age who have been a Christian for as long as I have fall out of it sometimes but if anything God is more alive and real to me as I get older and am surrounded by His many blessings. It is really cool to witness so many blessings and have so many friends and family to share it with. I have an awesome group I play frisbee with and even though I'm not the best it makes it even better that each and every person there is a friend of mine. Very cool!

Day 79: Beautiful Rainbow

I took this on the way home from work tonight as I was trying to get home to take my sister and some friends to play ultimate frisbee yet again and it just looked so cool. It rained a lot this afternoon so it made frisbee interesting at night where I almost slipped once and had trouble stopping to turn and chase somebody to get the frisbee or block them but both teams did really well as usual. The teams were so even that it took us 2 hours to finish one game and my team won which was exciting. This was just a good start to the night, God sending me this beautiful rainbow after the rain. The rainbow to those of you that don't know was God's promise to the world as well as Noah that He would never ever flood the entire world again so it has a pretty neat meaning. It kicked off my night with a bang and I finished my night off with a bang by going with some friends out to Denny's to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was a lot of fun.

Day 78: Country Breakfast Night

At my lifegroup, we are having a country breakfast dinner night tonight so I cooked hash browns for it. I had a little taste and they are pretty yummy if I do say so myself. I worked 8 hours today and had a good day there. I got a lot done at work, there was lots of stuff to do but it was a very productive day. Then tonight I am going to lifegroup to fellowship with my awesome friends there. I am looking forward to it, I enjoy lifegroup profusely and have some really awesome friends in it. God has truly blessed me with some great friendships with these people. I enjoy every minute of it and it is cool how much time we all spend getting to know each other.

Day 77: Fasting For Sy

There is a little kid named Sy that can't eat any food because of his esophagitis so all he can drink is a special juice of water so in honor of him a pastor challenged the church to live in his shoes for a day which is today so I have been doing it so far for 15 hours. I only have 9 hours left and so far haven't had too hard of a time doing it which is good. God is truly with this kid and with me today because fasting isn't easy but if Sy can do it his whole life I can certaintly do it one day for him. That kid and that family are truly an inspiration and I am going to continually pray for them that eventually they find some food that he can eat. I hope this inspires you guys not to overlook all those that suffer day in and day out but yet still shine even in the darkness.

Day 76: Beggar

This is my dog begging to be let in. I positioned myself between her and the door to be let in so she just sat there looking at me like this to let her in. After I took the picture I quickly let her inside because she was such a good girl. God has blessed me with this dog, she makes me smile and laugh daily. She certaintly keeps us on our toes as well.

Day 75: Beautiful Trees

As you can see it is a bright and beautiful day here. It is always nice to have bright days especially when this evening some of my friends are going to once again play ultimate frisbee. I absolutely love playing frisbee and it is so cool to have so many other people to share my passion for frisbee with. It has been kind of rough this week thinking how many friends are going away to various places such as college or back home but I am blessed to know them and excited to know I will keep in touch with them and see them again so that keeps my hopes up. It is so cool to have such amazing friends who I can hang out with and just enjoy myself immensely. I even saw a new friend of mine working yesterday when I went out to lunch with my family. It was pretty random but very cool at the same time.
