Day 74: Worship the Living God

One of the things I love about living here is the wide open spaces where everything can just grow naturally with no human destruction of it. It is such a beautiful landscape and is exciting to look at. I went to a church service today and had a fun time at it because my whole entire family was there to worship together except for my sister but that's okay because I spent vacation with her and my mom and dad so this was the time to hang with my brother. It was fun to worship together, the speaker did a good job just like my dad does and the music was really good and I got to see all my friends from last night again. I also got to see one of my newer friends when we went out to lunch. God is totally showing me all the important things in life: God, family and my friends as well as letting my light shine to those around me. It is pretty cool if I do say so myself.

Day 73: Early Morning

This is totally what working very early in the morning looks like. I worked at 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. today and it wasn't very bad at all kind of enjoyable actually. I also got to play laser tag with some awesome friends of mine. My friend Hilary is leaving on Monday to head back home and she will be missed greatly but I have made sure she knows to keep in touch. She is one of those one of a kind friends that when she touches your life it is a friendship that will never end or be forgotten. Hilary, if you read this you will be greatly missed by all of your friends and I hope you come back to visit us again real soon and keep in touch. This was such a great day of working and ending it all with a laid back time just hanging with my awesome friends, I absolutely love days like this especially the friend part.

Day 72: Bright As Day

This picture looked beautiful as the sun was shining incredibly bright this morning after I dropped my brother off at work this morning. I am just awed by how God continually shines in my life just like this sun even though I definetly don't deserve it. God continues to show Himself to me through His creation. My life is spent continually serving God and I hope that my light shines for God because that is what I live for and what I am alive for. God gave me eternal life through Jesus and even though I don't deserve it, God gave His Son for all of us anyways.

Day 71: Sky so Bright

The sky just looked so cool, almost like God was peeking through the clouds. It also looked like He was hiding His beauty from the earth and people in it because in our current state, if God truly showed His beauty we would turn to ashes because of how awesome and amazing He is. The cool part though is that eventually each and every one of us that put our trust in Jesus will eventually be able to worship and be around God 24/7. I just thought this picture looked so cool, I absolutely love taking pictures and through the lens catching God's beautiful creation that surrounds us every day.

Day 70: Bundle of Joy

While we were on vacation for about a week and a half I missed waking up to this face every day. My dog is a very important part of the family. She is such a sweet dog and God truly blessed us with this little gift straight from Him. We got her when she was six weeks old from a rescue center and after watching some shows on Animal Planet such as Animal Cops Houston showing people mistreating their animals especially dogs and it makes me sad to think people could mistreat animals such as my little dog each and every day. I wonder where she came from and what kind of situation we saved her from. She was found as a puppy by the rescue center but I have no idea if she was mistreated or anything but I can't even think of that if somebody did that to her because she is the sweetest dog ever. I thank God every day for this little bundle of energy that has caused so much happiness to everybody around her. God truly knew she was the perfect dog for my family. It is so awesome to think of.

Day 69: Finally Home

This is what I left in St. Augustine on vacation. We left today and headed home and I have to say it is nice to be home. I loved my vacation but nothing can compare to being at home. I just love the way the sky looked in this picture, it reminds me constantly of God's beauty in this world. It surrounds us every day and should go to show how amazing God is but so often it goes unnoticed. I am here to remind myself as well as all of you reading this of just how awesome God is. The vacation was very memorable but memories can be made any time in life so I look forward to many more occasions of memory making.

Day 68: Flowerssss

I saw this flower today when we went to the oldest wooden schoolhouse in this city. It made my day to see such beauty in a city that has been around for such a long time. God truly blessed me with this simple yet complex beauty in life today. We also ate at this restaurant called Seafood Kitchen and it had some of the best seafood in town and the best I have eaten in awhile. I had deviled crab with a baked potato, hush puppies and corn on the cob and the whole meal was very yummy. I am hoping we go to swimming and to the beach as well tonight. It is fun being so close to beach on this vacation because I can go to the beach any time I feel like. This flower is beautiful and it just amazes me how beautiful creation is around me each and everyday.

Day 67: Beauty at the Beach

This is the view I am met with every day of vacation can you say absolutely beautiful? Wow, it just amazes me how beautiful it is here. My family went shopping here today and I bought a pretty dress as well as a souvenir shirt that is like another one I have already just a different color and destination. Tonight I am hoping to be able to go down on the beach again with my family. It is so much fun being so close to the beach and being able to just walk straight down because we are right across the street from the beach. We had Applebee's for lunch and I had a steak, baked potato, boneless wings and french fries and it was incredibly yummy. This whole day consisted of just relaxing and doing one of my favorite things ever... shopping. It was a nice day out as well, not too hot and not too cold it was just right. God has truly blessed us on this trip first with that sand dollar and next with the shark's tooth my mom found on the beach yesterday morning, it was cool to see.

Day 66: Relaxation at the Beach

On this Saturday, we decided to just relax around the hotel so all we have done today is went on the beach this morning. Then we went and ate steak for lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse and then went grocery shopping after that. The steak was very yummy and my mom and I walked the beach while my sister and my dad went to play on the beach. My mom found a shark's tooth as we were walking the beach looking for seashells. The last couple of days have been good seashell days because while walking the beach last night, I found a fully intact sand dollar as well. The cool part was that five minutes before I found it I prayed to ask God for us to find something unique such as a starfish, sand dollar or shark's tooth. Then I found that sand dollar and it made me so happy. My God finds joy in the fact I trusted Him to provide that and finds joy when I find joy such as finding that cool sand dollar. My God truly provides and the beauty I have seen around me on this vacation just announces it constantly. It has been a great vacation and very memorable as well.

Day 65: Dolphinssss

My family and I all went on a scenic cruise today on which we were met with this awesome sight. We were able to spot lots and lots of dolphins so I snapped a picture of them. It was pretty cool to see that and made it an even more enjoyable cruise. We also had some very yummy pizza, wings and salad for lunch. Very tasty food, I am enjoying my vacation very much so. I have been relaxing a lot especially today just watching Animal Planet which I enjoy watching all of the shows on this channel. Some of the stories show you just how low people can go towards animals in abandoning animals and abusing them as well as how powerful God is in protecting some of these people and animals from death. Looking around me on vacation, I can see just how amazing God's world is.

Day 64: Flowers

This is a flower I saw at the seven old houses we saw today on vacation. I thought it was a very pretty flower and helped me see God's beauty even when I'm away from home. It is awesome to see this today. It has been a great vacation to get away from work and just relax. I love my job but sometimes it is nice to get away for awhile. When I get back though, it will also be nice to see all my awesome friends and I will see a friend I haven't seen in quite a few years. It is very exciting to me that I get to see my friend too. I love it here on vacation but love it back home as well.

Day 63: Yummy

We explored this chocolate shop and I got a frozen hot chocolate which sounded nasty at first because I couldn't imagine a cold hot chocolate kind of an ironic situation but it was actually very yummy. If you ever take a vacation to St. Augustine then you must try this place. It is very yummy and I highly recommend a frozen hot chocolate. My dad got an ice cream, my mom got a frozen hot chocolate and my sister got some sort of cappucino but they both decided after they were done to also get a frozen hot chocolate so I believe it is the best thing there. It tastes a little like the double chocolate chip frappucino at Starbuck's that I usually get. It was sooooo yummy.

Day 62: Beauty

I saw this as we were walking on the beach last night and it was just so beautiful. It was a lovely night on the beach and very perfect. The beach we were on last night had a lovely breeze blowing and had this beauty all around us. I love how God's world can be so beautiful all the time, it just makes my day when I see all of this. I absolutely love it and always look forward to seeing it again. We had lots of fun yesterday seeing all the sights and all the historic stuff as well. We also got to enjoy the beach and pool last night which made me even more happy.

Day 61: Second Day of Vacation

We went to visit a lighthouse today and climbed 219 steps up to the top. Along one of the trails, we saw this cool looking spider. It has what looks like a zit on its bottom as well it is pretty funny. I think this picture looks so cool and can't believe how amazing God's creation is. Ever since I arrived here on vacation at the beach I have been surrounded by God's beauty everywhere. It is nice to get away and just be with family away from all the distractions. I love where I live, the people and places of home but I also love it here as well. We have a cool hotel room and we are less than a mile from the beach, it is so cool being this close to the beach because we can go any time. I woke up this morning and got breakfast from the continental breakfast for my sister and I because she was still asleep. I also got her a coffee that she said she wanted to get from it as well. It has been a great second day on vacation.

Day 60: Second Day of Vacation

On the way to our vacation spot, I saw this beauty before me. It looked like God was watching over us which it was. It always is but it just looked very pretty. We made it to the beach and were going to do a KOA cabin but the A.C. wasn't working very well and God was watching over us because we got out of that KOA cabin and found a nice hotel much closer to the beach and has working A.C. It is a very pretty view from our hotel and we have lots of added stuff plus it was even cheaper than the KOA cabin.Also, God made it so that we were able to get a full refund at the KOA cabins and were able to find a nice hotel across from the beach.

Day 59: First Day on Vacation

This is yet another picture of the beauty that surrounds us every single day. I am just in awe at exactly how much beauty could possibly exist in one world. I love taking pictures of nature and this makes my vacation seem even more real. I am ready for a week and a half just to relax on the beach with my family. My vacation officially starts today but we're not heading out of town until tomorrow. I am excited to see more of God's beauty away from home. I played ultimate frisbee with some friends last night and it was so much fun, a good start to my vacation and am excited to get back and play again. I am so sore from running hard yesterday but I feel really good after a good work out like that. Such a good night with some friends I had before as well as some new friends. Great first day of vacation.

Day 58: Cute Face

She is so cute, always photogenic and she is always available to be my model. Quite a cute model, if I do say so myself. We have had her for pretty much her whole life, got her at a rescue center when she was 6 weeks old and she had us right from the start. My brother wasn't really wanting a dog when we were looking for one because he didn't want to have to clean up after the dog but she wormed her way into his heart too. I mean how would she not do that with that face? She is also part border collie so when she pants she has the eternal smile of the border collie and it is the cutest thing. I am definetly a dog person, we used to have a cat but it was one of the weirdest cats ever and I wouldn't trade my dog for anything she is such a great dog.

Day 57: The Beautiful World we Live In

This world we live in is made of many beautiful landscapes such as this one. I really liked this cloud formation and as I said to my sister who asked what I was taking a picture of I said "The swirly cloud formation." It later rained but for a short time the sky looked beautiful like this. Although, I think the sky looks beautiful even when it is about to rain. Today at work, I worked behind the cash register and it was a good day, got a lot done. I was bored a little bit when I had no customers but it was a very productive time.

Day 56: Cranes, Cranes and more Cranes

Wow this picture almost looks like a painting. These cranes are so cool looking. They were right outside my window and so I snapped a quick picture right before they walked off. I spent most of the day working today and have to say I was very productive today. I helped my mom get her freight in the intimates department put out on the floor. Now the department looks nice and full and stocked. It was kind of fun helping her with all that crazy amount of bras, panties and sleepwear out. I was scheduled to be put on fitting rooms but it wasn't too terribly busy and we had lots of people working today so I helped with freight instead. It was one of those enjoyable days of work even though I always enjoy my job at Kohl's.

Day 55: Great Movie

Recently, I have really been into this movie. I was watching it today on my day off and I love it. I have loved it since we got it but recently have found it to be even better.My favorite saying in the movie is: ‎"You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on." This is said by Mr. Darcy, the man who falls in love with the main character Elizabeth Bennett after being kind of rude and stuff to her from the beginning. Over time, he develops feelings for her and ends up being a really nice man to her and her family. I love this movie, it shows what happens when true love for another exists and shows what can happen when prejudices change and the person you thought was rude actually turns out to be your biggest ally.

Day 54: Early Morning

When I work at 6 a.m. this is what it looks like. I love the look of the clouds in this picture. We were switching around some shoes in that department and it took awhile but we got it done. It looks good now if only it would just stay that way. But any store that gets shopped then gets cleaned ends up not staying that way for too long but at least for the time being it looks nice in there. God has blessed me with a good job with plenty of hours and some cool people to work for and with. There are so many people out of work and it makes me feel very lucky and blessed to have a job that gives me regular hours.

Day 53: Beauty in God's World

This is yet another cool picture of the beauty that surrounds me day after day in this world. I can't believe how amazing and perfect everything God has made is. The only not so perfect thing is humans if you think about it, we were the ones that screwed up but the thing is God knew what was going to go down before Adam and Eve sinned. That is why He had already thought of a plan that would make it possible for us to spend eternity with Him forever, the plan was solely put on Jesus' shoulders because He was and is the only perfect human being who has ever lived and will ever live. Jesus was the ultimate example of living life solely for God's purpose and plan. That thought inspires me to try as much as possible for an imperfect human such as myself to try and live my life like Jesus. It is a constant struggle because I am only human and flawed just like every other person on earth but through Jesus I have eternal life with my Heavenly Father which is awesome so it rocks. All of you can have this faith I have as well if you simply believe that Jesus died and rose again for your sins and through Him rising from the dead we have absolute forgiveness no matter how imperfect we all are. That is ultimate true love from Jesus which is just so exciting to me and should be to you as well. Day 52: It's a Beast

I woke up this morning to feed my dog, Midnight and she was yawning and so I caught her midyawn. It makes her look like a monster but she definetly isn't. She is the sweetest dog anybody could ever want. She barks like crazy when people knock at the door or ring the doorbell but she is all bark and no bite. This picture is the complete opposite of what she is really like. She is the best dog ever, God truly blessed us with this dog. We prayed for the perfect dog for our family and she is the perfect dog for us.

Day 51: Stopped

On my way to work, I got stopped at a stop light so I decided to take a quick picture of the lights and I think it turned out well. The colors look so cool. I am so blessed to have the job I have, it shows me how much God truly cares for me, He has provided me with all the opportunities I could possibly need such as a job when I need money. I have also been getting quite a few hours at work too, the jobs I do there are very enjoyable and the people I work with are awesome.

Day 50: Cranes

This is what awaited me when I got home from work. Some cool cranes just walking around the neighborhood taking a tour of the place. It is kind of cool being so close to nature as long as it is a crane not an alligator taking a tour of the neighborhood. I worked truck this morning and we had a great time, some joking around and everybody worked hard and worked well together. We got it all unloaded by 9:30 then by 11 we had everything ready to go out onto the floor. It was a very productive day of work and truck truly makes you feel like it was very productive because there is a lot involved in it. It was a very good day.

Day 49: Moonnnnn

This is what working an overnight looks like. I got out when the moon was still out while the sun was still asleep. The whole night a girl named Evelyn that I work with kept saying she didn't want to look outside so that she didn't know it was night and would think it was the afternoon or morning which made me laugh. I was put in charge of the sizing team and there were three of us and we worked really well together sizing the clearance into the racks that we have clearance on. It was an enjoyable overnight because the two I worked with work hard and we were joking around and talking while doing the sizing. We did a lot of clearance stuff as well.

Day 48: The Crazy Times in Life

This is the crazy headline on everybody's minds right now. The fact that Casey Anthony who was accused of murdering her daughter Caylee about a year ago now got off with a not guilty of murder. This is crazy but I know that God is in control even in the crazy situations such as this. For those of you that are outraged by this new development just remember that God is in control and has a reason, even though we can't see what that is right now why that happened. This is the worldwide case and people are outraged by this bit of news and angry that she got off but I remember that God has a reason and I am comforted by that fact. Crazy, Crazy time in life.

Day 47: 4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone! It was 235 years ago today that this great nation began. It was a tough fight getting to this point and continues to be a tough fight to continue on with the freedoms we enjoy living in this country. This is the nation of freedom and that is kept by those who serve to keep in that way in military service. This is the day we remember all those who are and have given their lives for this great nation and the day where we remember those who still serve despite the risk. Thank you to all those who serve and have served our country. Also, the true freedom sacrifice that was paid by Jesus Christ so that we could have those freedoms we have today this is also the day we remember that. I just pray that more people will come to realize this great message that Jesus died for us even though none of us are deserving of it so please keep that in mind throughout the year, not just today and be thankful for the sacrifice of Jesus as well. That is the ultimate sacrifice and I just pray that God would continue to bless us and keep us strong.

Day 46: Pretty Sky!

The sky looked so cool this morning. It caused me to be able to stop and admire it for a few moments. It is just so cool that even when things don't seem to be going my way that God would send an image like this and boost my spirits 100%. Lately, I have thought maybe I have the words, be rude to me stamped on my forehead but then I find a view like this or a verse like: "Pile your troubles on God's shoulders- he'll carry your load, he'll help you out. He'll never let good people topple into ruin." Psalm 55:22 and it makes my day instantly brighter. I helped out in nursery during church this morning and it just amazes me how smart the children are even when they don't seem to be paying attention or when they just simply play together and help me realize that children truly have the right view of everything, so simple and straightforward and the faith of a child is so simple but so direct at the same time. I strive to have a childlike faith and always be amazed by God's holiness.

Day 45: Evening Reading

One thing I enjoy doing before going to bed is reading. It helps me calm down from the day and puts me to sleep pretty well. It is a very enjoyable pasttime for me lately. I finished Mary Beth Chapman's book already and it was a really good book. I have only read a few pages of this book so far but it is another page turner that is hard to put down. It is about a couple of girls involved in a car crash and the hospital ends up mixing them up and the one they thought was dead is actually alive and the one they thought was alive is actualy dead. This would be such a weird occurenec if that happened, I couldn't imagine what I would be feeling if that happened to me. Such a good book, you guys should totally read it.

Day 44: The Rain is Here

The whole day it has looked like this which helped the sleeping process quite a bit. I like when it is overcast on days when I am sleeping in because then I can sleep nice and peacefully without the sun shining into my room. I also hapen to think it looks beautiful when the sky is all overcast like this. The thunder also sounds cool even though it makes my dog go crazy, she usually hides under my bed because she is afraid of the loud sound the thunder makes. She is such a sweet dog when she is scared though because she becomes all lovey dovey and gives you the cutest looks.
