Day 43: Great Book

This is a book I have been reading. It is a really good book. It is about how the Chapman family lost little Maria, their adopted Chinese girl. I can't even imagine what that family went through. Will Franklin Chapman is the brother who was driving the car when he accidently hit Maria when she ran out from behind the car. She was just trying to get him to help her up on the monkey bars and through that little act, she is no longer on earth. The great part of this whole story is that the Chapman family can be comforted by the fact that Maria is in Heaven, so they will eventually see her again there. It would be such a sad day but I can imagine Will's guilt at what he did, one of the worst possible accidents, I just pray that with time he would be able to move on and know that it was nobody's fault, it was simply her time. God loves that whole family and I pray that with time it would become easier. Everybody pray for that family after this tragic accident. Nobody can fully comprehend what that feels like to lose a loved one unless it has happened to you, just know that no matter what God is with you always.

Day 42: Spiderssss



Job 8:14 "Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web." I saw this spider out in the backyard. I am not a big fan of spiders but God protects me from anything that might want to harm me so I am not afraid of a little bug no matter how frightening it might be. I can handle most anything but bugs, the dark and storms don't scare me but little bugs such as this one does but my trust in my Lord is as strong as a spider's web so I know God will watch over me always. That is a very comforting thought.

Day 41: God's Beautiful World

"The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory." Psalm 97:6. This is so true. The heavens by just simply being God's creation declares God's righteousness and the creation we see all around us shows us His glory as well. The creation speaks volumes about how amazing God is. Have you ever wondered why we got so lucky with such beautiful surroundings? Well, I believe it is because God loves us so much that He wanted to display the most beautiful creation to show His love for us pretty cool huh? I think so. If you ever want to discuss anything about this just let me know I could talk about it all day.

Day 40: Beautiful

A beautiful picture indeed. The great thing about summertime is the beauty that surrounds throughout life. This is only a small example of much more beauty that surrounds us. God created everything and as He says in Genesis, it is good. It is good enough for each and every person on earth to live here and that is the specific reason God made such a great and beautiful world because He loves us so much and shows us exactly how beautiful this world is. There is much more beauty to come though, mind you, He has even more beautiful treasures waiting for all of us in Heaven, all we have to do is believe in Jesus, that He died, was buried and rose again for our sins and we get to spend eternity with God that made such a beautiful world for us to live in. Day 39: Monsterrrr

This picture made me laugh so hard. I was trying to get a good picture of her and she was barking at my brother for his food and so the picture ended up being very blurry so it made her look like a little monster. Scary huh? Run away from the vicious beast while you can. She is an awesome dog though and makes us laugh a lot of the time because of the random things she does.

Day 38: BEACH DAY!!!!!! :)

My sister and I went to the beach today and we had a great time. I just created this picture with an awesome verse: Proberbs 31:30- "A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." I just thought it fit this picture so well because both my sister and I are dedicating our lives to serving God. My sister is one of my favorite people in the world, we used to not get along at all which if you see us now is totally crazy because we have matured so much and become very close. I love her with everything in me and God has truly blessed me by putting her in my life. I don't know where I'd be without her. My mom, dad, brother and sister are my favorite people, as it should be and I thank God every day for each of them. I truly have a special family. A friend of ours, Kevin also came and we had fun hanging with him as well, he even joined us at the mall, such a brave guy to go to a mall with two girls who LOVE shopping but props to him for that. I just love my life, my God has truly blessed me with so many great friends and family members.

Day 37: Rain?

I was driving home from work this evening and saw this beautiful sight so I pulled to the side of the road and took a picture. A car drove by me and the guy in the car was giving me a strange look but I was like oh well this is for my blog so deal with it. LOL! This was a group of clouds acorss the way from my neighborhood so I pulled into the neighborhood off to the side and snapped a picture of this beautiful sight. I just wonder if it will actually rain or if it is just teasing us. I love when it looks like this. Last night, I saw some beautiful lightning and tried to get a picture when I got home but wasn't able to. Oh well!

Day 36: Up at Sunrise

This is what my shift today for work looks like, being up with the sunrise. I enjoy this view a lot it is so pretty. God sure made a beautiful sun and it makes my day start off so well when I get to see this sight especially since with the sunrise it hasn't started heating up quite yet. It is still a little warm and humid but not as bad as during teh day. I just love this view and thank the Lord for giving me this to start off my day, it is a big blessing. Now I feel ready to take on anything today with God's help. I look forward to lifegroup tonight, it makes my week.

Day 35: Fear for your life, yucky bug

As I was putting my dog outside this morning to eat her food this is what was sitting between the screen door and the glass door. I know some of you readers don't know me but this is one of my fears, I absolutely hate cockroaches they are disgusting. Thankfully, it wasn't on the inside of the door or else I wouldn't have waited to get a picture of it, a shoe or papertowel would be its fate because they are disgusting and I can't stand having them in the house such gross, scary bugs yet they are only doing what is natural just not a big fan of cockroaches.

Day 34: End of a work day

This picture is a perfect example of why I love it here. It is always beautiful and just displays God's creation so well. I worked early this morning after closing last night so I was kind of tired but it was a nice short day and wasn't too difficult of a work day. The store even looked good when I left. I enjoy days where I get off early and have the rest of the day to relax, it is kind of nice just to have the whole afternoon off.

Day 33: Clouds

This is the view I saw as I drove into work today, I just can't get enough of God's beautiful creation. It is so cool to be surrounded with it each and every day. It helps me be even more awed by the beauty knowing that God made it just the way it is. I worked tonight and closed the men's department and after Father's Day it was a pretty messy area but I had lots of help from my awesome coworkers so I was able to get it done quickly with their help.

Life Worth Living

This isn't my usual post with a picture. I will include a picture but it isn't one I took. Well, all you readers and bloggers out there, I haven't been getting much response to my posts on here so I decided to make a blog post about a life worth living and what that looks like. I was recently challenged by a couple of guys my age that were talking about ways to do the hard things in life, such as things you wouldn't normally do which in my case is math. I was one of those people who would try (I thought) as hard as I could in math class. The only problem was that no matter how hard I tried, in math college courses, I could never seem to actually get any passing grades. I would tell myself as well as others that it just isn't my thing. Well the truth of the matter is that I thought it was too hard because I preferred to do things that were easy for me. I have learned though that nothing is too hard for me because God is in me and as such, I can do anything I set my mind to. Well, last semester in the spring, I took another math course after meeting with my advisor and him telling me my best option would be to take both math courses. Well, I finally decided to try again at one of the classes I had failed before, so I did and ended the semester with a B in the class. You can imagine I was jumping for joy at that point. Well then going to that Rebelution conference a few days ago, I have decided in my life that I am going to stop just always taking the easy way out and put my mind and heart into everything and live my life to do the hard things for God. That is truly a life worth living and I challenge all of you readers out there to join with me in this, it may sound hard but all things worth having are hard, not easy. You have to fight for what you truly want and through God, anything is possible. I am opening this up for discussion and would like to hear more stories from all of you guys of ways you all have done something like this or if you have any questions about things you could do to start living life this way just ask I am always open to talk to people.

That picture right there represents why I wish to live my life this way, because as a follower of Jesus my life will be hard but in the end it will all be worth it when I hear Jesus say "Well done my good and faithful servant." That is what I live to hear in the end. Thank you for reading and feel free to respond.

Day 32: FaThEr'S DaY

This is a picture of my dad and I. My dad is a truly amazing man with a great sense of humor (sometimes). I bought him the polo that he is wearing in this picture. I told him I wanted to go ahead and give it to him so he could wear it to church this morning and he's all like alright I'll wear it, I made his clothing choice very easy. I love this man a lot. He is truly a great role model and is what a true gentlemen in every way looks like. My dad got lucky by marrying my mom and she got lucky in marrying him. A true leader and great role model to me, my brother and my sister. God truly brought my two parents together because they are perfect for each other in a way only God could plan out. I love you dad and look forward to many more years ahead for us.

Day 31: The Rebelution wanna join?

My mom, sister and I went to the Rebelution conference today and it was so awesome and inspiring. The things they said totally related to where I am in life right now, I took a math class and used to say math isn't my thing and just isn't for me and was very close to giving up on college altogether because I have to take two college math courses but through God's strength and grace, He helped me really buckle down on it and I ended up getting a B in the class which I never thought I'd see in a college math course. It is totally God that did that one, definetly not me and I continue throughout my life, just seeing random acts of God's grace in my life, it is so cool to see so just like Alex and Brett Harris said, I am going to continue doing hard things for God because it is my purpose in life and I want to make God proud of me. I am so blessed to have such a great family and friend support system behind me no matter what thanks God for all the blessings throughout my life.

Day 30: What's up?

This is what my dog, Midnight is up to when everybody else is doing something else. I was in the living room watching movies and my dog was under my bed sleeping until I bugged her and took a random picture of her. She is so cute, an awesome, fun-loving dog and is our little security guard. She patrols our backyard and chases squirrels and birds out of the backyard. It is hilarious because she goes charging out but never catches them.

Day 29: Through the Looking Glass

I saw this outside my window and thought it was cool so I took a picture of it. I loved how the bush looked, so beautiful and alive it was pretty awesome. This plant sits right outside my window and like a year ago it had the coolest looking spider (from afar not close because spiders are icky) but anyways, it was so cool but now it isn't there anymore which bums me out because it was an awesome spider. I love how this bush looks though, God truly makes beautiful things.

Day 28: Rainy Day

On my way to taking my brother to work, I saw this as I was getting in the car so I decided to take a picture of it. A lot of my pictures are very random like this one. I enjoy taking pictures especially ones like this. It looks like rain but not all the times that it looks like rain does it actually rain so we'll see if it even rains or not. I am hoping it doesn't until I get home from school because I don't enjoy driving in the rain. This has been a good day though because I got to sleep in, I'm not working and all I have to do today is school.

Day 27: Smoothie Time

As you can see, I enjoyed my smoothie. My brother bought me a strawberry smoothie today and it was very yummy. I drank it before heading off to work. It was a nice addition to my day. I also worked today and it was busy but nothing the crew couldn't handle. We are pretty good at taking the busy times and turning them around and making the store look awesome after we're done. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay like that but it works because it guarantees all of us a job there. I truly love my job.

Day 26: Pretty Surrounds Me

This view sat right outside my window today and I just became awe inspired to take a picture of it for my picture of the day. I am off to school soon and this tree just gave me a great start to my day. I just love how the beautiful views surround me because of what God has created. God created everything around me and through this good start to my day I am in a good mood going to school, although I am usually in a good mood anyways but this made it even more so. Thank you, my Lord of creation for this beautiful view.

Day 25: Family Time

Well, as you can guess for our family day today, we went to lunch then went to see Kung Fu Panda. I liked it a lot, very funny and a great family movie. I think the first one was probably better but I love them both. They are nice clean movies so it makes them even better. I spent a good portion of my day with my family so it was a very good family oriented day. I enjoy spending time with my family and family time is important nowadays with four of us having jobs and just crazy busy lives, it is nice to slow down a little and just spend an afternoon spent with family.

Day 24: Sunrise, beautiful sunrise!!!

This is what working early on a Saturday looks like. I clocked in at 7 a.m. It was an enjoyable day at work because it was busy but not too crazy. I also had lots of awesome helpers on the fitting rooms and when I was taking down the early bird signs. I got off at 1 p.m. and was able just to have the rest of the day to relax at home. It was a very nice day and I enjoyed the whole time. I was able to help the closing crew have a good close. I enjoy helping them out and making the close better because then the employees have a nice night which is good. I enjoy my job a lot.

Day 23: Through the Window

I thought this picture looked cool. I took it through my window this morning and I think it looks pretty cool. This beauty has been given to you by God. It is is His Creation and I am simply living in it. Sadly, two 16 year olds here died last night in a car accident and I didn't know them but the fact that 2 teenagers my sister's age died in that car accident. I am praying for the families of these two because it can't be easy having them one moment then in the blink of an eye they're gone. Please be praying for their families, it isn't easy.

Day 22: Snack

What does this mean? I am half in charge of bringing snacks to lifegroup tonight. There is somebody to bring sweet snacks and somebody to bring salty snacks and I'm the one bringing sweet snacks. I haven't had a Rice Krispy treat in awhile so I'm looking forward to eating one. These looked so yummy when I saw them when my brother bought them for me last night. I forgot to pick them up after school so he picked them up for me such a nice brother. This day has been great just relaxing, doing chores around the house and doing some homework. Nice and relaxing day off just how I like it.

Day 21: Beautiful Day

As you can see, I got to have another beautiful, sunny day. Good news happened today so I guess God gave me this beautiful day because of the good news. I got 3 really good grades on the quizzes I took today. 2 100's and an 89 is the kinds of good grades I'm talking about. The fact I am doing that well in my class is great, although I can't wait until it is over so I can officially enjoy my summer.



Day 20: SHOPPING

What does this bag mean? I went shopping at Kohl's today a.k.a. my work place for about 2 hours today. I wanted to buy some leggings and a cute shirt or dress to wear with it and found both with some great savings GO KOHL'S! I work there but I still absolutely love to shop there too, we have some of the cutest clothes. It is my favorite store to shop at because you can buy some cute clothes for cheap. It fits with my budget and helps me look stylish as well. Talk about exciting. I also ran into one of my friends, Amber there as well which was cool. Great day!

Day 19: Belief

This is the basis for my beliefs. It tells me how to live my life according to God and gives me the encouragement I need to go through life. God is my life and all I strive to do is to live my life daily for Him. This is my meaning and purpose in being alive. He gives me my reason to live and shows me where to go and what to do each and every day. This is a life worth living.

Day 18: Lunch

What do I do for lunch when most of my family is going elsewhere? Go to Taco Bell of course. I love their food. This is where I ate for lunch today while my family went to a birthday party. I am heading off for an afternoon nap soon too because I'm a bit tired. At church today in nursery, we had 12 kids for 3 adults that were on there so it was a bit crazy but not too out of control. It has been a great day today.

Day 17: The Big Day

This is Rachel and Jon on their wedding day today. They are such a cute couple and this is where I was today. I saw these two promise to love each other, cherish each other and spend their lives together forever. They are now married and it was just so exciting to see them get married because I have known Rachel for about 6 years now and she deserves a great guy like Jon and I am soooo happy for them both. Can't wait to hear all the stories of their lives together. Aren't they such a cute couple? I am so excited for them both as they start their lives together.

Day 16: Chore Day

What does this cleaner mean? Chore day, of course. I did chores around the house today before work so the carpets and bathtubs look pretty good if I say so myself. This is part of being in a family so I don't mind the chores all that much, plus it prepares a person for their future in their own home so it's all good. I enjoy being a part of my family because I feel like being part of this family is my purpose in life because God put me in this family specifically. I love my whole family so much and would give anything for them if need be. I enjoy everyday I spend with them and wouldn't give that up for anything.

Day 15: Up before the sun

I was up to work truck at Kohl's today and when I got there I saw a cool cloud formation so I decided to take a picture of it. I was up before the sun even peeked over the horizon, the funniest part is when I got out it was all sunny. It feels weird being up before the sun but it makes it nice to get off early from work. I like truck better than overnights too so that was good. My mom was supposed to work truck and I was supposed to work merchandising but we switched shifts which was nice because I like truck better, although I don't mind merchandising either.

Day 14: Overnight fun

This is what an overnight at Kohl's looks like. Going in when it is dark then leaving when it is dark as well. I was out before the sun came up and was sleeping as the sun rose talk about weird. I thought the sky looked cool this early in the morning though. Then I went to school this afternoon on 5 hours of sleep and took a test so it was kind of bad to go take a test on that small amount of sleep but I believe I did well on it regardless of how much sleep I got. I was fully depending on God to give me the much needed strength to take the test even though I studied for it. At least the class is half over.
